The Cycle

Standing along the shoreline
my face raised towards the sky
admiring the changing design
as the clouds swirl and fly
sprinkling the soft white
as they touch and recede
as I watch in sweet delight
nature's cycle plead
unfolding in beautiful miracles
I watch the snowflakes fall
they seem to descend in circles
a unique design in all
I watch the sea gulls hover
see their joyous play
with their wings they try to cover
the flakes, gently leading the way
to their destiny awaiting
completing the cycle as should be
to the waves, anticipating
as I see the cycle before me
within this miracle I enfold
as the waves caress the shore
the snowflakes touching the liquid salt
they submerge, becoming one as before...
