Sheltered

Standing here beneath your wings,
sheltered from the world.
As my heart cries, and my soul weeps,
never to be heard.
As your cloak slowly covers me,
protecting me from pain.
As your darkness seeps inside me,
no boundaries remain.

Silencing my quiet screams,
emotions slowly die.
Indifference against a world,
where love is just a lie.
Swaying me within your waves,
waves of emptiness.
Here it is where I’ll remain
in death’s bitter-sweet bliss.
